About us
A warm welcome awaits you at our family (and dog) friendly certificated location for the
exclusive use of Caravan & Motorhome Club members and perfectly located for exploring the
Shotley Peninsula and beyond..
We are a family-owned CL Site, have lived here for over 20 years, and opened our CL Site in July
2021. Previously, the land had been used for farming crops and grazing for horses. For many
years we have been growing our own veggies and a young woodland for coppicing. It’s a real
pleasure just living on the peaceful and rural Shotley Peninsula, bounded by the River Orwell
and the River Stour.
There are free range hens wandering about our site, full of character and amusing antics. There
are horses kept in the nearby fields, down the bridleway at the edge of our field. Slightly further
away are pheasant feeding stations so there are always pheasants wandering about. Muntjac
and roe deer also visit us, often raiding our apple trees.
Our visitors enjoy spotting our resident wildlife including stag beetles, brown hare, rabbits,
pheasants, muntjac and roe deer, barn owls and buzzards whilst taking advantage of strolling
on the many winding paths in our private woodland. Horse riding may be observed on the
bridleway next to the site. The gated exit from the woodland offers miles of off-road walking on
the many public footpaths in the area.
